I love the insight you’ve provided and the tip about injecting a version number that is visible in the context menu is a great tip. I’m always running into the problem in Flash Builder where the browser is hanging on to the previous set of compiled SWFs and I do not see my changes which is very annoying. That is a great way to make sure I’m seeing up-to-date content. Thanks for the detail on the project!!

It was just a matter of noting the fact that the Flex application isn’t actually the root of the display list. As you know, RobotLegs isn’t designed to be Flex-only, so picking a different display object isn’t a big deal.

Yes, I use git locally. As I said, though, I might start pushing it elsewhere just to have a remote copy in case something happens to my laptop.

From a technical perspective, I’m not sure if I actually needed to do so much separation, but I think it definitely helped me to keep things loosely coupled in some places, which is a win in my book.

I think this was wise as your same components(presumably in your library) are used in the web and desk version

Glad to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t mind with the copy-and-paste for Spark skinning 🙂

Love the transparency with which you’ve discussed some things like Unit Testing and the dissection of the separate libraries you use.
