(I remember thinking I was going to make Tomb Raider 4 with a copy of ‘learn to program basic’ I picked up in 4th grade.) Although, I’ve gone AJAX and PHP instead of Flash; but, flash has it’s obvious merits, given the fact that you don’t have cross-browser troubles, and have a lot more freedom with the UI. I might have to check that out and expand a bit.

I’ve known Gary for many years and his books have always been top notch. When I used to do a lot more Lingo coding, I would always recommend his Lingo for Games to our new developers as a way to come up to speed.
